When will my homework be set / due in?

The children will have spellings sent home that correspond with the spelling scheme we teach from in Year 3. These spellings are sent home each Thursday alongside a short, fun task. Tasks should be completed in the yellow Homework Book
whilst spellings should be completed on the sheet. Both the book and the sheet are expected back in school by the following Thursday.
Over the course of the year several creative tasks will accompany the spelling activities. These are all linked to learning in school and support the curriculum.
On-going homework – reading and x tables
We expect all of the children in Year 3 to read most days at home and to record this in their new Reading Records. Please note that the teachers keep their own separate detailed records, but will regularly check and initial Reading Records to monitor how often your child is reading outside of class.
Multiplication tables will be tested every term. You will be informed of your child’s score and the times tables which need to be focused on at home. Please support your child with regular practice throughout the year especially using TT Rockstars using your child's login and password.
