When will homework be set / due in?

In Term 1 – Your child will have an ongoing task in addition to one piece of weekly homework.

As of Term 2, your child will receive two pieces of homework per week.

Maths

Maths homework is set on a Tuesday and handed back to your child’s maths teacher on a Thursday.

Literacy / SPaG

Literacy or SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) homework is set on a Wednesday and is due in on a Friday.

The tasks will vary each week so that we cover a range of curriculum subjects each term. You will be given Maths and Literacy homework books in which to complete the tasks although sometimes, we will provide paper if we would like your learning to be displayed.

We expect all of the children in Year 6 to read regularly at home and to record their independent learning in their new reading records.

Children should also use Mathletics and Times Table Rockstars regularly to boost their mathematical skills.

When will my child need their kit?

PE Kit – Is needed all week as the children will participate in orienteering as well as their weekly PE session.

Games Kit – Friday
