What else do I need to know about Year 6?
  • It is essential that your child has a blue handwriting pen each day in school. We strongly recommend that these are purchased from the school office as they are much cheaper than in the shops!
  • Year 6 is the stepping stone to secondary school and therefore we encourage children to become more independent and well organised. We expect children to have the equipment they need each day for learning.

  • Reading –  every day; AR quizzes on completion of books
  • Spelling – weekly spelling test (set on Monday, tested on Friday)
  • Maths – set on Monday, hand in Friday
  • Timestables - multiplication tables practice is essential and TTR can be accessed at home.
  • Revision - from Term 3
  • Topic homework will be set each term

  • Bikeability (w/c 12th October 2020)
  • Residential (12th-16th July 2021)

We will host a residential meeting with Marc Reeves later in this year.
